The brief for this project was to create a flexible additional space in the garage of a rental home in Reservoir, Victoria. My client and their housemate lived in a small home and both wanted a space that could accommodate a desk each, as well as a second living area for hosting friends or colleagues.

The space was large enough to house all three elements - a desk each under the window as well as a sofa and adjacent armchair to enhance conversation and connection. Using furnishings they already owned (eg. artwork, lamps, floral cushions), we were able to successfully create a third space that is easily transformed from social gathering point into a working studio.
